🇬🇧 Welcome to Corvinus Metaphor Workshop!

🇭🇺 Üdvözöljük a Corvinus Metafora Műhely oldalán!

The Corvinus Metaphor Workshop (CMW) was established in 2022, with the aim of bringing together the applied metaphor research of Corvinus students and faculty, and disseminating the findings of these research projects to a wider audience. The CMW also organizes workshops for discussing and debating ongoing projects and to help students in their research both at the theoretical and the methodological level.

Our main objective is to foreground how metaphor studies can significantly contribute to a wide array of contemporary sociocultural issues by providing a much-needed account of our everyday conceptualizations and how we make sense of the world.

A 2022-ben alapított Corvinus Metafora Műhely (CMM) célja, hogy összefogja a Corvinuson folyó alkalmazott metaforakutatásokat és megismertesse azok eredményeit a szélesebb közönséggel. A CMM workshopjai lehetőséget biztosítanak folyamatban lévő szakdolgozatok, kutatási projektek bemutatására és megvitatására, illetve tanácsot nyújtanak hallgatóinknak elméleti és módszertani kérdésekben is.

Fő célunk, hogy bemutassuk a metaforák alapvető szerepét a hétköznapi fogalomalkotásban és a metaforakutatás széleskörű alkalmazhatóságát a társadalomtudományokban, biztosítva a társadalmi-kulturális jelenségek átfogóbb megértését.
